From Self-Publishing to Publishing House

Kitt Frost is officially in print! A 52-page black-and-white introduction that marks his first step into the world. We’ve already shared a handful of early copies, and the feedback has been incredible. Readers are connecting with the story, the pacing, and the energy of the universe, and that response is fueling us forward. We’ll be making a few revisions based on those early notes, but the heart of the story is beating strong.

And while Kitt Frost may have been born as a self-published title, that’s not where our journey ends. DerryComics is now shifting gears – from a single creator pushing projects forward to a true publishing company, working with and supporting other creators across the globe.

We’ve officially signed seven series and partnered with seven creators spanning three continents. The lineup is bold, diverse, and brimming with imagination:

  • Empire of the Saurian
  • The Guardian Seed
  • Helltown
  • Kitt Frost
  • Otherkin
  • Rogue Science
  • Tales from the Void

It’s hard to overstate how exciting this is. With our official launch slated for October, we’re in full sprint mode: editing scripts, finalizing art, prepping for print runs, redesigning the website, building the shop, tightening contracts, and juggling a thousand small moving parts.

Part of this shift also means stepping out into the industry more directly and talking with storefronts, preparing portfolios of our titles, setting up distribution, and getting these books into the hands of readers everywhere. It’s exhilarating. It’s overwhelming. And it’s absolutely worth it.

This is the beginning of something bigger, not just for me, but for the amazing creators who’ve entrusted their stories to DerryComics. Here’s to checking off the to-do lists, signing the dotted lines, and bringing these worlds to life for readers everywhere.

Here’s to an incredible start.
Here’s to DerryComics.
